Quick Order

How would it be to like to have the knowledge in a physician's head on the palm of his or her hands? Is it possible…? We would like to think yes.

Medical science is a science of lot of ifs and buts. Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches have to incorporate lot of variable factors like age, sex, body weight, geographical location etc and as such, the software has to be developed with locally prevalent diseases.  For example if we search for Yellow fever in our location that will be wastage of time and resources. Yet , there are diseases like Diabetes Hypertension, Heart diseases found across the world with almost equal frequency and diagnostic and therapeutic protocols have been laid out by medical professional bodies. These protocols give uniformity of treatment across the world.

With our Quick Order feature we aim to provide doctors with a procedure process tool.
“If a patient suffering from syndromes of leukemia, the following procedure options will be displayed by the system: Chromosomal Analysis/Cytogenetic/Karyotype, Flow Cytometry/Immunophenotyping, p53 Mutation Analysis B-CLL. Once provider selects the procedure he would like to run on patient, system predefines the procedure including diagnosis codes, ICD Sections, Test and the other services that should be adhered.”
The system captures investigation summary utilizing the ICDs, which could be filled by provider or someone assisting a provider. This summary will always be attached to the patient as part of his medical procedure with the provider or institute. In other words, we are integrating the expert medical advice and patient related information to prepare case based analysis which assists medical and health professionals in the decision making process, such as diagnosing and designing the treatment plan for a disease or a condition with the help of Quick Order system.Additionally, the doctor can configure his own templates in order to suit his requirements.

With this concept, we aiming for the possibility of standardization and uniformity of treatment across the world.

Asset Management

Consider these situations commonly observed in hospitals:
1) What is common between infusion pumps and taxi cabs? There are hundreds in circulation, but you can never find one when you need one.
2) With large number of patients being handled everyday in hospitals, how do you keep a tab on your patients? As for example, if a patient is trying to access a restricted area, how can you find about it?
There is always a crowd of things and people going around in a hospital that needs to be tracked. There are doctors, nurses, patients, and visitors who need to be kept track of. There is equipment that needs to be prevented from getting stolen. One of the biggest challenges in asset-intensive industries is how to effectively manage all their different types of asset. These organizations must deal with  physical assets that require ongoing maintenance and repair. Managing human resources—the most valuable asset of all—comes with its own special set of challenges

Integrating with Medical Imaging: Adhering to DICOM standard

Ask any physician, and they will tell you that imaging is a key component of the patient health record and is often critical to diagnosis and treatment.
With widespread use of computers in medicine, it is now possible to have "filmless" radiology department and "paperless" hospitals. To make this happen, radiology equipments using computers should be connected seamlessly and computers in a hospital need to be integrated into a network.
The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Standard describes the means of formatting and exchanging medical images and image related information to facilitate the connectivity of medical devices and systems. The DICOM Standard endorsed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is a result of joint efforts of users and manufacturers of medical imaging and healthcare information technology.

Integrating medical equipments of different vendors used to be a big issue. Even today with all the advancements t…
